  • Development, production, distribution, and maintenance of products and goods for defence and security purposes.
  • Design, construction (installation), maintenance, protection, and supervision of defence and security infrastructure (bases, IT systems, etc.), as well as the provision of logistics and host nation services.
  • Conducting research and development, creating technologies, training specialists, providing education, consultation, mediation, and other activities directly or indirectly related to defence and security.
  • Provision of critical goods and services during crises and wartime.

The Association is a platform uniting and representing the entire ecosystem of Lithuania's defence and security industry, providing its participants with all related services and consultations.

LDSIA Mission

To create favourable conditions for Lithuania's defence and security industry to develop, produce, and export innovations, products, and services in this field. By involving institutions and organizations through transparent collaboration, LDSIA aims to promote fair competition and foster cooperation with international defence and security industries.

GOLETA, Calif., Nov. 20, 2024— Teledyne FLIR, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, today announced it has been selected by Red Cat Holdings, Inc., to provide thermal imaging and Artificial Intelligence (AI) embedded software for its Black Widow™ small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS). Red Cat was selected as the winner of the U.S. Army’s Short Range Reconnaissance (SRR) Program of Record after an evaluation process completed by the Army Project Management Office for Uncrewed Aircraft Systems, Army Maneuver Battle Lab, Army Test and Evaluation Command, and Army Operational Test Center.The U.S. Army’s current acquisition objective is for 5,880 systems, with each system consisting of two aircraft.
