BAE Systems Hagglunds AB's first meeting with the Lithuanian industry
The leadership of the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association (LGSPA) participated in a meeting with representatives from BAE Systems Hagglunds AB, where the opportunities for the Lithuanian industry to engage in the acquisition project of the CV90 infantry fighting vehicles were discussed. The discussion examined specific guidelines on how this engagement could be implemented through an industrial cooperation model.
BAE Systems representatives expressed interest in collaborating with Lithuanian companies by including them in the supply chain for the manufacturing, equipment assembly, maintenance, repair, servicing, and parts supply of the CV90. This meeting is an important first step that opens the door to further negotiations and long-term cooperation.
LGSPA is actively working to ensure that Lithuanian companies have the broadest possible opportunities to become part of international defence supply chains. The partnership with BAE Systems and other international market leaders will not only help strengthen Lithuania's defence industry but also contribute to the growth of the country's defence capabilities.
