Business Breakfast with the Director of the Public Procurement Office
Business Breakfast with the Director of the Public Procurement Office – On More Efficient Defence and Security Procurement
This morning we met with the Director of the Public Procurement Office, Darius Vedrickas, and together with representatives of the defence and security industry, we discussed current challenges and opportunities in the field of public procurement.
What were the key topics?
▪️ How to ensure more efficient and rational public procurement in the national defence and internal affairs systems.
▪️ What measures can encourage businesses to participate more actively in public tenders.
▪️ What are the main obstacles currently hindering the adoption of innovative solutions.
We devoted a lot of attention not only to the organisation of procurement itself, but also to quality planning, design, and ensuring effective project supervision.
The meeting was held at the office of our association member, 2L Architects & Engineers , where we were warmly welcomed and had a great opportunity to explore both completed and ongoing projects. It’s a great example of the potential that Lithuania's defence and infrastructure sectors have to offer.
We thank Darius Vedrickas for an open and constructive dialogue – meetings like this serve as an important bridge between business and public institutions. Only by working together can we ensure that Lithuania’s defence industry becomes even stronger.
