Chairman of the LDSIA Board, E. Skužinskas, has been elected as a member of the ASD Europe Board
Chairman of the Board of the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association (LDSIA), Egidijus Skužinskas, has been elected to the Board of the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD Europe). The decision was made during the annual ASD Europe Convention, held this year in London. The new term will last for two years.
This marks the first time a Lithuanian representative has been appointed to the organization’s highest strategic level. It represents a significant shift—from being a regional observer to becoming a full-fledged decision-maker in European defence policy.
ASD Europe is the leading European industry association representing the aerospace, security, and defence sectors. It brings together more than 4,000 companies from 21 European countries, ranging from technology start-ups to the largest defence industry leaders. The association maintains direct engagement with the European Commission, NATO, the European Defence Agency, and other key institutions shaping the continent’s security and defence policy.
“For many years, the Baltic States were seen as peripheral territories, often associated with geopolitical instability. Today, they are becoming full participants in shaping European security decisions. Lithuania’s representation on the ASD Europe Board confirms our country's maturity and the growing international standing of our defence industry,” said Egidijus Skužinskas.
