LDSIA Board Member Robert Juodka Presented Lithuania’s Defence Industry at the Lithuania–Japan Business Forum in Tokyo.
Robert Juodka, a member of the Board of the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association (LDSIA), participated in the Lithuania–Japan Business Forum held in Tokyo, where he presented Lithuania’s defence industry ecosystem and its development potential. In his speech, he emphasized Lithuania’s openness to defence technology development, foreign investment, and the potential for cooperation with Japanese companies.
The forum was attended by the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, along with a large delegation from Lithuanian state institutions and businesses, as well as representatives from Japan’s defence and high-tech sectors. During the event, a joint declaration and several cooperation agreements were signed in the areas of space, advanced technologies, and transportation.
This forum marks an important step in strengthening the strategic dialogue between Lithuania and Japan, expanding bilateral business relations, and opening new partnership opportunities in defence and security innovation.
In recent years, particularly in 2023–2024, cooperation between Lithuania and Japan in the field of defence has become more consistent and intensive. The two countries are connected by clear, institutionally established channels of dialogue, regular meetings, and formal agreements focused mainly on cybersecurity, defence technology development, and expert knowledge exchange.
