The Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association elected a new board and discussed strategic sector goals
The new board of the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association (LGSPA) was elected on April 23, 2025, during the general assembly held this year at the General Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas Auditorium of the Vytautas Magnus University Education Academy.
The event was attended by the heads of companies belonging to the LGSPA as well as guests – Deputy Minister of National Defence Orijana Mašalė and Chairman of the Seimas National Security and Defence Committee Giedrimas Jeglinskas. They shared insights on the necessity of building a resilient, competitive, and supply chain-independent defence industry ecosystem that can reliably meet the needs of both Lithuania and its allies.
During the meeting, discussions took place regarding the association’s activities, the legal regulation of the sector, the cooperation between business and state institutions, and the emerging challenges. The association members also participated in an opinion survey, the results of which revealed the current state of Lithuania’s defence and security industry ecosystem and areas for improvement. The results of the survey are planned to be publicly presented later.
During the event, a new LGSPA board was elected for a three-year term. The new board members are: • Arnoldas Šileika, CEO of AB Vakarų laivų gamykla • Artūras Kedavičius, Senior Sales Project Manager at Hnit-Baltic, UAB • Egidijus Skuzinskas, CEO of UAB "Arveka" • Egidijus Šilanskas, CEO of UAB "NT Service" • Robert Juodka, Managing Partner of the "Noewe Legal" law firm • Vaidotas Aleksius, Lawyer, UAB "VIALEX Baltic" • Violeta Kašėtienė, temporarily acting as the head of Giraitė Weapons Factory / GGG
The Board Chairperson and Vice-Chairs will be elected during the first meeting of the newly formed board.
Currently, LGSPA unites 117 members – companies and organizations from Lithuania’s defence and security industry ecosystem, actively contributing to strengthening the country’s security. The association is also a member of the European Defence and Aerospace Industry Organisation ASD (AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe).
