We visited a member of the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association (LDSIA) – Western Shipyard, led by Arnoldas Šileika. In its first year of LDSIA membership, Western Shipyard made a significant contribution to the development of the defense and security industry and was recognized in the "Discovery of the Year" category.

During the visit, we discussed:

•  The potential for military shipbuilding in Lithuania and the reasons why these opportunities have not been utilized in the past.
• The prospects for maritime drone production and its importance for modern defense.
• International breakthroughs: a large-scale patrol vessel construction project being carried out by a Lithuanian company in Singapore.

We thank the Western Shipyard team for a productive meeting and valuable insights that will contribute to the growth of Lithuania’s defense industry.
